Varicose veins may not affect daily life other than causing the sufferer to feel a loss of confidence. Many people therefore do not receive treatment body. But some people experience pain, burning, or itching in the area with varicose veins. Left untreated, it can lead to dangerous complications such as blood clots and bleeding later in life.

Veins are responsible for bringing blood back to the heart. Within the veins are valves that open and close to allow blood to flow to the heart in one direction.
